2010 Big Red Football Camp Information

Big Red Football School

The 2010 Big Red Football School, Inc. is arguably the nation’s top training ground for athletes. An advance non-refundable registration deposit of $100 must accompany each application, with the balance due at registration time. Refunds (less the $100 non-refundable deposit) will only be given for medical reasons when accompanied by a physician’s note. Equipment is only required for High School Sessions I and II.


High School Session I (June 7-9, 2010) - Cost $295 (Live-in); $245 (Commuter)

High School Session II (June 10-12, 2010) - Cost $295 (Live-in); $245 (Commuter)


Students who will be in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades next fall are eligible to attend. Our high school camps will be conducted to benefit campers from a competitive standpoint, as well as a technical one.  We will assemble teams from our individual camper registration for competition reasons and ensure each player is on a team.  Each session includes board provided by University Housing where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Session I will end at noon on June 9 and Session II will end at noon on June 12.

What to Bring: Please bring your own: helmets, shoulder pads, t-shirts, football shoes, socks, supporters, jerseys, and mouth guards.  Helmets and shoulder pads will be available for rental ($15/helmet, $10/shoulder pads) at check-in.  For live-in campers, sheets and pillowcases will be provided.  Please bring toiletries (such as toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc) and a blanket if you have a tendency to get cold at night (the residence halls are air conditioned).

 


Elite Quarterback Academy
June 13-15, 2010 (Grades 9-12) - Cost: $400 (Live-in); $350 (Commuter)


Space is limited in the Elite Quarterback Academy, which is led by Husker offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson. The Elite Quarterback Academy is for student-athletes entering Grades 9-12 and runs June 13-15. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due with the application and the balance is due on arrival. The camp will focus on the fundamentals of the quarterback position including footwork, throwing motion and reading coverage. The camp will close at noon on June 15.

What to Bring: Comfortable shorts, shirts and football shoes. For live-in campers, sheets and pillowcases will be provided.  Please bring toiletries (such as toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc) and a blanket if you have a tendency to get cold at night (the residence halls are air conditioned).

 


Big Red Kicking Academy
June 13-14, 2010 (Grades 9-12) - Cost: $210; $185 (Commuter)


The Big Red Kicking Academy is a two-day camp designed to focus on the fundamentals of the kicking game including place-kicking and punting. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due with the application and the balance is due on arrival. The kicking academy will close at noon on June 14.

What to Bring: Comfortable shorts, shirts and football shoes. For live-in campers, sheets and pillowcases will be provided.  Please bring toiletries (such as toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc) and a blanket if you have a tendency to get cold at night (the residence halls are air conditioned).

 


Husker Youth Camp
June 4-6, 2010 - Cost: $295 (Live-in); $245 (Commuter)


The Husker Youth Camp is designed to provide participants ages 8-13 (not in 9th Grade) with opportunities to develop and improve their football skills in a fun, safe and enjoyable atmosphere (non-contact). Coach Pelini, along with his staff and former Husker football athletes, will be on hand to instruct campers in fundamentals and technique training. This camp encourages each camper to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due with the application and the balance is due on arrival. The Husker Youth Camp will close at noon on June 6.

What to Bring: Comfortable shorts, shirts and football shoes. For live-in campers, sheets and pillowcases will be provided.  Please bring toiletries (such as toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc) and a blanket if you have a tendency to get cold at night (the residence halls are air conditioned).

 

 

Husker Youth Mini Camp
June 16, 2010 - Cost: $65


The Husker Youth Mini Camp, like the 3-day Youth Camp, is designed to provide participants ages 8-13 (not in 9th Grade) with opportunities to develop and improve their football skills in a fun, safe and enjoyable atmosphere (non-contact). At this one-day camp, Coach Pelini, along with his staff and former Husker football athletes, will be on hand to instruct campers in fundamentals and technique training. This camp encourages each camper to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence. The Husker Youth Mini Camp will close at 5pm on June 16.

What to Wear: Comfortable shorts, shirts and football shoes.
